OMG! I love a good horror movie, mainly for the laughs. But every now and then I do enjoy watching a 'true' scary flick. So when I read the description of the Burrowers, I thought I had found a gem!....NOT! The movie is based in 1879 in the Dakota Territories, and it follows a group of men that tries to track down missing women that are thought to have been kidnapped by a group of vicious Native Americans. However, they soon realize that they don't have to worry about 'savage' Native Americans, but they do need to worry about the horrifying burrowing creatures that lurks beneath them.
Sounds good right? This movie had so much potential to be a great movie! I loved the theme, and its rare to see a horror film based in the Wild West.
Without spoiling the movie for those who would still opt to see this one, there is a brief explanation of what the creatures are, but not good enough to carry the movie. The Native Americans were made to be the stereotypical 'all knowing' people that knew where the creatures came from and how to stop them....Wow, what a frickin' surprise! come on script writers, lets see something new! there were a couple of battle scences with the creatures and human like 15 minutes before the movie ends.....and the ending of the movie will leave you thinking WTF?! So that's all I'm saying....watch at your own discretion!
RocknRolla

At first glance, RocknRolla seems similar to the unique and somewhat interesting story line as Snatch. However, once the long and overrated introductions of the characters are over, so is the movie! I wanted to like the movie so bad, truly! But the confusing story line and underdeveloped characters had me wishing the movie would just end!
There were some quirky characters such as Johnny Quid played by Toby Kebbell that made me laugh every once and a while(the pencil stabbing scene was totally unnecessary by the way), and Tom Wilkinson is always good in whatever he's in...he way great. Gerard Butler and Thandie Newton's chemistry in the movie was non-existent to say the least! which made me not connect with their characters. And I don't know what the hell rapper/actor? Chris Bridges(aka Ludacris) was doing in the movie. He and Jeremy Piven offered nothing to the failing story line. The only save of the movie was the sexiness of Idris Elba*starry eyes*which keep my attention for every scene that he was in, but still...not enough!
Call me old fashion, but I was looking for a good ole' action packed heist movie with clever plot twists...but i didn't get it with this one :-(
